League Rules

Reading & District Seniors Golf League: Rules

1. Playing members must be male aged 60 and over on the day of the Match with an active English Golf Handicap Index (Maximum Handicap Index of 28).

2. Home and away matches to be played between each Club joining the League.

3. Matches to be played on a Four-ball Better Ball basis off the Yellow Tees (Green Tees at The Caversham).

4. The number of players in each Match team shall be 12 players , 6 x 4BBB games. Clubs subsequently fielding less than this number will forfeit any games they are unable to contest.

5. Any 4 ball game in which a non-eligible player takes part will be adjudged a win for the opposing side.

6. Match Scoring will be as follows:
1 League point per game. With a 4-2 result of a match it would give 4 points to the winning club and 2 points to the losing club. Match points will be totaled up. The Club with the highest cumulative total will be the League winners. In the event of there being a tie, then the Club with the most away points will be the League winner.
