League Rules

Reading & District Seniors Golf League: Rules

A. Playing members must be male aged 60 and over on the day of the Match with an active English Golf Handicap Index ( Maximum Handicap Index of 28).

B. Home and away matches to be played between each Club joining the League.

C. Matches to be played on a Four-ball Better Ball basis off the Yellow Tees (Green at The Caversham).

D. The number of players in each Match team shall be 12 players ( 6x 4BBB games ) . Clubs subsequently fielding less than this number will forfeit any games they are unable to contest.

E. Any 4 ball game in which a non-eligible player takes part will be adjudged a win for the opposing side.

F. Match Scoring will be as follows:
1 League point per game. So with a 4-2 match result it would give 4 points to the winning team and 2 points to the losing team. These will be totaled up. The Club with the highest cumulative score will be the League winners. In the event of there being a tie then the Club with the most away points will be the League winner.
